Since the beginning of the 20th century, Las Vegas has embodied an evolving ideal of American fun and escapism.
Midcentury America saw the Rat Pack at the Sands and Evel Knieval at Caesar’s Palace. The 1970’s and 1980’s witnessed the rise of all-inclusive and family-friendly megaresorts. Over the 2000’s, Las Vegas became as famous for its world-class DJ residencies as it is for roulette and blackjack.
Today's travelers are looking to experience Las Vegas in a new way. Dreamscape believes the city’s next-gen clientele will demand something different, something deeper, something unexpected and something seamless. With this in mind, the Rio will soon offer an entirely refreshed suite of dynamic and broader programming.
Dreamscape acquired the 2,522-room Rio Hotel & Resort from Caesars Entertainment Corp. for $516.3 million in December 2019.
“Las Vegas needs to start preparing for the next generation of visitors—millennial visitors have a whole new set of interests.”
